Harvest Location: Ta Xua Mountain, Vietnam

Harvest Date: Spring 2025

Cultivar: Shan Tuyet Ancient Trees

Elevation: 1700m

Grown at 1,700 meters above sea level, this exceptional tea comes from the forested slopes of Ta Xua Mountain, in Son La Province, Northern Vietnam. Here, among the clouds and ancient forests, stand the legendary ancient Shan Tuyet (snow-shan) trees with thick trunks and downy silver buds, nurtured by the hands of the H’Mong ethnic community for generations.

Harvested in spring 2025, when the trees awaken from winter dormancy and push forth their most tender, flavor-rich leaves, this tea captures the wild essence of the highlands. The leaves are picked by hand from 100-200-year-old tea trees, thriving in untouched, biodiverse ecosystems, far from commercial plantations.

From the moment you open the bag, the tea releases a deep, forest-like aroma, reminiscent of mossy wood, mountain air, and wild herbs. Upon brewing, the liquor is clear and golden, offering a gentle but complex flavor—mild in bitterness, with a clean, silky body and evolving notes of dried flowers, honeycomb, and a faint minerality.

As the cup cools, a lingering sweetness emerges—soft and comforting—leaving a pleasant aftertaste that coats the throat. The tea’s cha qi is extreme, carrying the spirit of the high mountain forest with it.

This tea is more than a beverage—it's a cultural expression of the H'Mong people, who have lived in harmony with the Shan Tuyet trees for centuries. Harvested and processed using traditional, low-intervention methods, each batch reflects the wisdom and rhythm of highland life. No chemical inputs. No modern machinery. Just tree, hand, and heart.
