Huangpian refers to larger, more mature leaves that naturally yellow as they grow longer on the tree, often picked later or sorted out during processing. Compared to finer bud-heavy pu’er material, huangpian typically brews with less bitterness and a softer profile, emphasizing sweetness, smoothness, and approachability rather than sharp intensity.

When aged, huangpian becomes especially mellow and rounded, with a gentle sweetness in the aftertaste and a rich, warm aroma. The texture tends to be smooth and forgiving, making it easy to drink while still offering depth.

This brick is composed of 2018 leaf material from Bingdao (Mengku, Lincang). It produces a full-bodied liquor with a long-lasting mouthfeel, reflecting the high-quality large-leaf material typical of the Bingdao area, expressed through the calmer, sweeter character of huangpian.
