This Mid-Autumn Festival, gather around the tea table with the New York Tea Society for an evening inspired by one of the most enduring images in Chinese poetry—the moon.

For centuries, Chinese poets have written about tea, mountains, solitude, friendship, distance, nature, and the moon overhead.

Some wrote while traveling far from home. Others found meaning in quiet mountain retreats, cups of tea shared among friends, or simply looking at the same moon as someone they loved hundreds of miles away.
